hmm...

I like the overall song, but has a few spots that I noticed that could use some more tweaking...

I mean, is this the final version of this song? Or were wanting some advice to improve this?

I'm not much of an expert, but i noticed that near the beginning, when the vocalist was repeating a bunch, it sounded out of tune really bad. Was this builded tension? If not, then I would put it a few cents flat. Would sound better I think...

Also, I was hoping for actual words :(

The beginning set it up so well, but I was disappointed that all you used was the vocals that could be used before and after a verse/chorus...

Otherwise, good work.

Yeah mostly youre wright... but it`s also more like my own way off building it up...
But for the record i can try too resample those vocal sounds.

hmm...maybe you don't remember...you gave me a review for that old song of mine, Club Scene.

Now, I got signed to a minor record label as a collab, and am working with a vocalist, and have a song currently in the top scoring list here on NG. What am I getting at? I'm climbing that ladder, and you were one of the people who heard my starting stuff, which I have to say was junk. MC BigBoy is no more, btw. lol. gay name.

anyways, this is a good song. what can make it better? more FX, I guess. I dunno. it's pretty good as a song right now, but if you want some more advice, I'd say

1. More FX
2. Longer breakdowns
3. work with the channel automations more, i guess....
4. have a more complex bass. i'm a culprit of it as well. off-beat basslines...a DJ's best friend, but can get too repetitive at times.
5. maybe an arp? i love my arps, that's why i put it there.

remember, these are suggestions, just to have you experiment more with the song.

I gave my 5 and 10 for you. I'm liking it.

Yeah I absolutly remember you lol... dandylions and what not... congrats on the minor record label....... as for your suggestions I somewhat agree with. More fx I agree, I mean I used a few, but I knew this song wasnt "meaty" enough, but honestly I got really tired with it...and once I had a full song down it was hard to go back in and add more fx because it just doesnt seem to fit once u think the songs complete...the bass - yeah couldve been more complex but it was a soundfront bass and offbeat is what they suit best... arps eh cudve been used, really wasnt needed

It could be better

You could have spent a bit more time on it, but it is way more improved than the one you sent me. Are you still using the demo for FL? Man, you need to get the full version ASAP. It really helps, trust me. None of my stuff would be near as good if I just had the demo version.

hmm...

I like it. Reminds me of old Super NES. Kinda like Zelda or something.

The chord progression is pretty interesting. The bass could be less moogy/distorted and more pure. Try using DX7 in the 3xOSC column in FL.

Like the comments, the ending is a little too sudden. I could definitely see some things you can improve on.

What would I do? Change the synths around, they don't match very well, a few notes are wrong/don't sound right (in the wrong key, almost)
And: What program do you use? I think you use FL jsut cause I hear things that I've used in my songs, FX wise.

At least you say how long you've worked on your songs. Ppl ask me, I'm like, "Well, let's see here....since a few days ago. Don't know how long, but I know it was enough lol"

Also, put in some hi hats man. Yeeeeaaah!

I think it could have been better.

to me, the IV goes to the V, then back to the one, and if you have a song, then the iii always does good for the bridge. So, you have either a I IV V I or a I V I IV V I prgression.
Just an idea for the song.

Keep working on it, and try to spend a few days on a song b4 submitting to NG. Believe me, this makes all the difference.

Yea, I wasnt going for an actual "good" song, I was just demonstrating what I learned, I knew nothing about scales, so this was a big step for me.

pretty good, but...

What really didn't complete the package for this song was in the beginning actually. The sound that you use for the chords, the pad or whatever, was too stiny with the other sounds. Now, if you change everything else to make it harder-sounding, but I think you were going for a soft look. So, just change that, lower the volume of it a little, and you are good to go :)

i'm stunned

Wow. The beginning was good. I looked at the scores and the other review, then I listened to the song thinking that they were just jerks. I was disheartened when I heard it. I guess I'm not into the whole "out of tune" kinda thing. If you change the pitch of all of those tones, I'll give it my 5 and 10, guaranteed. But, with it not being in tune or in the right key, it sounds pretty bad. I'm not going to say terrible, just becuase you can definitely help this song. I'll give it a 3 just so it doesn't go under 1. But, for the review, I have give you a 1. You have a chance here to make it better, and I hope you do.
